Woah the weather is awesome, perfect timing for some summer sounds... 'Stand on the World' is a brand new track from Keedz, here's the Distort remix, reminds me of D.A.N.C.E a bit..

Thou shalt always kill...

I was luckily enough to catch the pip in covent garden on monday performing his droney, poetic take that i've come to love on the suga babes 'push the button' in front of a camera crew and the general public.

In interviews Scroobius said that 'Thou shalt always kill' is full of contradictions (which it most definatly is), and picking up on those brings one closer to the song's real message, which is, in fact, thinking for ones-self...

Genious commentary on today's pop culture..

Doesn't get more lo-fi than.....

Friendly Fires

Friendly Fires have finally announced some details of their forthcoming self-titled debut album. It's gonna be released on September 1st, features all the classics including 'Paris' and was self-produced in one of their dad's garages...

The track below; 'Lovesick' is from the highly anticipated album and although has nothing on 'Paris', its pop elements and funky beat has me rythmically jiggling limbs...

Friendly Fires - Lovesick

And here's a free track they're giving out on their website in celebration of the album. This song is very different from the above, a nice blend of cowbells gone insane, quivering guitars and synth at a swift tempo...

Duke Dumont and more...

This remix is incredible.. If your hearing it for the first time, its not what you'd expect after listening to the original.. Duke Dumont delivers a minimal masterpiece reconstruction...

This ones a crafty minimal/tech track by Moonbeam from the EP 'Spring Story'. Tastefully deep with some killer synths and a very nice beat. It was released from the german label 'Traum' back in Feb and it plays tricksss on my miiind...

Moonbeam - Slow Heart

Lastly is a track from a band called Poni Hoax, this song is fast, dark, powerful and the best I've heard from them.. The drumming's nice and tight alongside the dirty, progressive synth, eerie detuned bells and overall buildup of the composition..

Poni Hoax - The Paper Bride

Enjoy it all.....

Shackleton etc...

Some people are just not meant to drink, especially when forgetting to have dinner and last night I was one of them... And thankfully nooo, this isnt me paraletic in my friends bathroom at 7am on a sunday morning.. but its my homieo.. ode to martin. I attended James Zabiela's fundraver set last night at the Orange Rooms in my town (Southampton), very impressive.. he brought a bit of a dubstep twang in the introduction and nicely mixed it into some deep dub and tech-house which was hot. I saw him wandering around downstairs in Junk later that night where i can recall putting my phone in his face telling him to ''take my myspace and check out my tracks and shit''.. i must not have been as much of a slurring drunk idiot as I thought because he told me to send him some stuff....

Here's a Shackleton track I've come across today from listening to Soundboy Punishments. Very nice dubstep, quite minimal until delayed drum hits start dropping halfway through the song out of nowhere... funkin awesomeface.

If you havn't heard of Shackleton I'll tell you briefly; He co-runs Skull Disco with an artist called Appleblim. He's been described as carving out his own brand of eclecticism on Skull Disco releases so far with intricate, snaking percussion, hypnotic melodies, seriously deep bass lines and dubwise sensibilities...

Shackleton - Blood On My Hands

Here's some other material from artists I don't know so much about but enjoy increasing the decibels for...

Spada - Arcobaleni (Catchy tech-house/minimal track 2007)

Tom Verlaine & The Million Dollar Bashers - Cold Irons Bound (Incredible song from the soundtrack of I'm Not There)

And I've gotta stick this
up for those of you who havn't heard it:

Stephan Bodzin - Daytona Beach

Intro...
